Stephen Bradford, a veteran with a mission and love for music, began collecting and distributing musical instruments to veterans in the Building 31 inpatient program in Phoenix, Arizona's VA hospitals, other long term care treatment centers--- to veterans who wish to find music and to veterans that feel lost without music. The mission and music is personal to Bradford who served 8 years in the Army.

Stephen’s mission through Honor House’s Instruments 4 Success program is:

"To promote success in future endeavors and divert negative experiences into a POSITIVE VIBE we call Music."

Stephen and his managing assistants now collect and distribute musical Instruments 4 Success.

Why donate musical instruments to Instruments 4 Success?

  • You have had trouble selling your old instrument on Craigslist....
  • Your item is too big to ship? (Drum sets can be tricky.)
  •  You’ve tried to sell your old equipment to a store but have decided you would rather realize the full tax deductible charitable contribution.

What does Instruments 4 Success do with the donated instruments?

Instruments 4 Success, Amplified By Honor House, promises to put the life back into your unused music equipment and instruments. Through our partnership with several Arizona veteran service organizations, the local Veteran Hospital and therapeutic programs, Instruments 4 Success has the unique ability to get your unused equipment and instruments into the hands of veterans and their family members who can give your equipment the life you envisioned for it when you purchased it.

My instrument needs a tune up. Can I still donate?

Yes. Almost all instruments need some work! When an instrument requires too many repairs to be overhauled or fixed, Instruments 4 Success will sell/barter the donation to purchase new instruments based on need and requests, or use the funds to provide scholarships for music lessons, maintenance and host music events for our local veteran community.

Who Donates?

  • Musicians with extra equipment.
  • Parents of kids who lost interest.
  • People wishing to commemorate a loved one’s love of music.
  • Music lovers to which life has happened, and never got to learn that instrument they purchased.

Will I be paid for my donation?

No, but Instruments 4 Success is more than able to provide a donation receipt to make your charitable giving tax deductible!

What kind of instruments can Instruments 4 Success accept?

Items Needed: Guitar and Bass Amplifiers, Guitars, Bass, Keyboards, Keyboard Amplifiers, Drums, Cymbals, Microphones, PA Systems, Sheet Music, Music Books, Music Stands, Monetary Donations, Trumpets, Saxophones, Trombones, Flutes, Clarinets, Tambourine....more cowbell!... and anything else music related you can think of. Yes, really. Anything musical… We’ll take care of the details.
